KPUB Announces Temporary Suspension of Disconnects & Expanded Customer Support Amid Flood Recovery
In response to the recent catastrophic flooding that devastated the Texas Hill Country and severely impacted KPUB’s service area, we are taking proactive measures to support our community and customers through this crisis.
Temporary Suspension of Disconnects for Delinquent Accounts
Effective immediately, KPUB is temporarily suspending disconnections for non-payment to ensure that no customer loses access to electric service during this critical time.
This is a tragedy for our entire community. Customers have lost entire homes, loved ones, and livelihoods—businesses are unable to operate, and families are facing the daunting task of recovery. KPUB recognizes the deep emotional and financial impact this disaster has caused. We are committed to standing with our neighbors and supporting them through the long road ahead.
“Severe weather and historic flooding have left parts of our community without power and facing extensive damage,” said KPUB General Manager & CEO, Mike Wittler. “Our top priority is the safety of our customers and employees while working as quickly as possible to restore electric service. We recognize the financial strain this disaster has caused for so many and are committed to supporting our neighbors through this recovery.”
